It sits alongside the website as another way of keeping in touch with the company that has been carrying parcels and freight between Lithuania, Ireland and Northern Ireland since March 2008.

Getting hold of the app takes only a moment:

On Android: open Google Play and type MV TRANSPORT into the search bar.

On iPhone: open the App Store and search for MV TRANSPORT in the same way.

Check that the listing belongs to M&V Transport before you install it, then open the app and have a look around.

The app is there for convenience, but you never have to use it. Everything you need to arrange a shipment is also available on this website, and you are always welcome to phone or email the team instead. Use whichever suits you best.

Arranging a shipment, whichever device you use

However you choose to contact M&V Transport, the way a shipment works stays the same. There are departures from Ireland and from Lithuania every week, and the next available dates are listed on the home page. Select a date and the order form opens, ready for your details.

Before you start filling anything in, it saves time to have the following to hand:

the full address where the parcel should be collected;

the recipient’s full address in Lithuania, Ireland or Northern Ireland;

several phone numbers for the recipient, so the driver can always reach someone;

the number of boxes or items and their approximate weight;

a decision on who will pay, as either the sender or the recipient can settle the bill.

Collection and delivery are door to door: the parcel is picked up from the address you give and taken to the address you specify. If you live near Limerick or Portlaoise, you can also drop parcels off or collect them at Baltica shop Ltd (Unit 2, Garryglass, Limerick) or at National Enterprise Park (Clonminam, Portlaoise, Co. Laois). Business customers can ask for an invoice.

Getting your parcel ready to travel

A booking is only half the job. The other half is packing, and it makes a real difference to how your belongings arrive. M&V Transport’s packing guidance comes down to a handful of sensible rules:

pick a box that is the right size for its contents, and use layered cardboard boxes for anything fragile;

seal every seam with strong tape and fill empty space with bubble wrap or similar padding;

keep fragile items in the centre of the box, mark the box „FRAGILE” and let the driver know;

make sure the parcel could bear the weight of another parcel placed on top of it;

wrap anything that might leak or stain in a sealed layer of its own;

repack shop-bought gifts rather than sending them in their display boxes;

keep each package as a single box, never several boxes taped together, and do not let anything stick out;

write the delivery address clearly and leave labels uncovered.

Two weight and content rules are worth remembering too. A single item in a consignment must not weigh more than 30 kg, so split heavy loads across several boxes. And some goods cannot be carried at all, whatever the quantity: tobacco products, alcoholic drinks (including low-alcohol ones), medicines, fireworks and the other items listed in the regulations. Locked suitcases are not accepted either. The full guide is on the packing page.

Prices and services at a glance

Parcel prices between Lithuania and Ireland are the same in both directions. The minimum charge is €45, which covers 25 kg. Up to 100 kg the rate is €1.80 per kg, and above 100 kg it drops to €1.50 per kg. Larger consignments are priced by agreement, and Northern Ireland uses the same figures in pounds sterling. A number of everyday items have their own fixed prices, such as €50 for a bicycle, €90 for a washing machine or dishwasher and €70 for an oven. The current list, in force from 1 April 2026, is on the prices page.

Parcels are only part of the picture. M&V Transport also handles small and large consignments from 1 kg to 24 tonnes, between 1 and 33 euro pallets as well as non-standard pallets, house moves, cars, minibuses and motorhomes, construction machinery, delicate goods, full and part loads, local jobs, city-to-city transport within Ireland, and storage. Every consignment carries carrier’s liability cover under the CMR Convention. More detail is on the services page.

If you send parcels regularly, ask the courier for a customer discount card when you book a shipment. Once you activate it by completing the form on the website, it gives access to discounts, exclusive offers and prize draws for cardholders.

Frequently asked questions

Is the M&V Transport app available for both Android and iPhone?

Yes. The app was released in 2018 for both platforms. Android users can find it on Google Play and iPhone users on the App Store. In either store, simply search for „MV TRANSPORT” and check that the listing belongs to M&V Transport before installing.

Do I have to use the app to send a parcel?

No. The app is an optional extra. You can also book through this website by choosing a departure date on the home page, which opens the order form, or you can phone +370 686 81182 or +353 857 055100, or email info@mvtransport.lt.

How often do you travel between Ireland and Lithuania?

There are departures from Ireland and from Lithuania every week. The nearest dates are always published on the home page of the website. Pick a date that suits you and the order form opens, so you can arrange collection from your address straight away.

What is the heaviest single box I can send?

Each individual item in a consignment can weigh no more than 30 kg. You can still send more in total by spreading the weight across several boxes. Pack each box separately, label it with the recipient’s address and phone numbers, and mention the number of boxes when you book.

Can the person receiving the parcel pay for it?

Yes. Either the sender or the recipient can pay for the shipment, so you can agree whichever arrangement works for you. If you need paperwork for your records or for a business, invoices are available on request.

What should I do if I cannot find the app in my store?

Try searching for „MV TRANSPORT” exactly as written. If it still does not appear, you lose nothing: every booking can be made on the website, and the team can help by phone on +370 686 81182 or +353 857 055100, or through the M&V Transport Facebook page.

Welcome, to try our mobile application.
