This is not a reflection on individual customers; it is simply how the company keeps prohibited goods off its vehicles. Your parcel travels alongside many others, so one person’s mistake can affect everyone’s shipment.<\/p>\n The consequence is straightforward: a parcel containing prohibited items will not be transported<\/strong>. Rather than risk that, it is far easier to check the contents yourself before the box is sealed.<\/p>\n A related rule concerns luggage. Suitcases fitted with padlocks or locks are not accepted for carriage.<\/strong> If you want to send clothes or personal belongings, a sturdy cardboard box sealed with strong tape is the simplest choice. If you do use a suitcase, it must not be locked.<\/p>\n Prohibited items can easily end up in a parcel by accident rather than on purpose. A bottle of wine slipped into a hamper, a few packets of painkillers left in a wash bag, sparklers tucked in with party supplies: these are the kinds of things that are easy to overlook. A quick routine helps:<\/p>\n Once the contents are sorted, good packing protects everything that is allowed to travel. The M&V Transport packing page<\/a> sets out the essentials. Use a box of the right size and strong adhesive tape. For delicate items, layered cardboard boxes and bubble wrap or other filling are recommended, with fragile objects placed in the middle and the box marked „FRAGILE” so you can also warn the driver. The parcel should be able to carry the weight of another parcel stacked on it. Anything that could leak or stain needs to be sealed securely.<\/p>\n Keep each package as one solid unit rather than joining several boxes together, make sure nothing sticks out, and do not cover the labels. Write the recipient’s address clearly, together with several phone numbers. One weight rule applies to every parcel: no single item may weigh more than 30 kg.<\/p>\n Under point 6 of the regulations, a poorly packed parcel may be accepted, but the company is not responsible for its safety.
